2002-2003 Bussell Research Group

2002-2003 members of the research group.

Back: Julie King, Stephanie Sawhill, Mark Bussell, Autumn Burns
Seated: Melissa Pease, Katy Layman

In April 2003, five group members gave poster presentations in the "Colloid and Surface
Chemistry" Poster Session at the American Chemical Society Meeting in New Orlean, LA.
Unfortunately, there are photos of only four of the posters.

Melissa Pease standing by her poster entitled "Investigation of  Alumina-Supported Amorphous Metal
Boron Catalysts for Hydrodesulfurization".

Autumn Burns standing by her poster entitled "Cobalt Phosphide Hydrodesulfurization Catalysts:
Synthesis, Characterization and Evaluation".

Stephanie Sawhill standing by her poster entitled "Metal Phosphide Catalysts for
Hydrodesulfurization".

Katy Layman standing by her poster entitled "The Interactions of Hydrocarbons with Hydroxylated g-Al2O3/NiAl(100):  Determination of Surface OH Acidity".  Katy's poster is based upon her Ph.D. studies in Prof. John Hemminger's group at the University of California, Irvine.

Yet again, students in the research group find some time to have fun during the trip!
