Undergraduate Advising

All chemistry and biochemistry majors are assigned a faculty advisor.
The faculty advisor assists students with chemistry plan of study and they
serve as contact point within the department. To officially be
assigned a chemistry faculty advisor, students should stop by the
Chemistry Office (CB270) and fill out forms declaring either a chemistry
or biochemistry major. Chemistry Office Staff can also help answer
any questions you may have. We also offer pre-med advising for
students interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
Chemistry Office Staff can help or provide information on any of the following:
- Program information for prospective students/majors
- To arrange for a visit to the department
- Transfer student advising (including transfer course evaluation)
- Course registration information
- Course override requests for CHEM 434, 454, 464, 465, 474 and
BIOL 474 only.
- Major declaration
- Chemistry honors program (info handout/application available)
- Senior graduation evaluation for chemistry major or minor
